Today we held our annual Autumn Craft Fayre. It is held in our local hall, at Clarbeston Road Memorial hall.
Our doors open from 10am until 2pm. We had 22 different stalls selling a wide variety of produce and products. Mostly home/hand made others shop items and beauty products sold my well known brands.
We had a strong flow of people coming to have a look around and buying from the stalls. We have had excellent feed back all round from the public and the stall holders.
Through out the day we served hot drinks, vegetable soup and hot dogs, along with our big cake stall to raise money for the church. After one of our youngest regular attendee spent two weeks in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, (Singleton hospital, Swansea) after she was born, we decided to use our raffle on the day to help raise money for equipment and training on their ward.
Our total money raised today was £1005.00 (£500 will go towards the NICU).
On behalf of everyone at St.Mary the Virgin Church we are truly grateful for everyone who has supported us this year, the money we raise for the church will go towards helping with building maintenance.
And on behalf of the NICU they would also thank everyone; local businesses that have supported by donating raffles and tickets for the silent auction. And also to everyone who bought tickets and donated prizes and money to support the unit.
Thank you / Diolch Helen
